Today in celebration of African Heritage Month we welcomed Keonte Beals a local author, artist and singer.  He started his presentation with the Black National Anthem, "Lift Every Voice and Sing".  Then he shared a reading of his book I am Perfectly Me.  He took questions about his process as a writer and encouraged the students to follow their dreams.  He finished the presentation with a spiritual song that reflects his culture.  O'Connell had a rich and exciting educational experience today!
