Today, Premier Tim Houston and Dr. Robert Strang announced that public schools in Nova Scotia will move to at-home learning for one week, starting on Monday, January 10, 2022.

Students whose needs are met through learning centres will continue to have the option to be in school during this time. Buses will be operating.

In-person learning will resume for all students on Monday, January 17, 2022. Enhanced public health measures will be in place for all schools at that time.

Here are two additional highlights from today’s announcement:

  • HEPA filtration systems will be installed in schools and classrooms with passive ventilation systems.

  • All students and staff will receive 3-ply masks.
